Electrical Design Engineers |
| |
The Electrical Design Engineer's primary responsibilities are to be a member of the team |
| |
supporting the Product Evolution Process with a major focus on product design, development |
| |
and improvement. In addition, he or she is expected to support the Order Acquisition and |
| |
Order Fulfillment Processes as appropriate, based on current skills and interests, and |
| |
skills and interests to be developed. |
| |
|
| |
As a member of the team supporting the Product Evolution Process, he/she will help define and |
| |
implement process inputs, activities and tasks, and outputs. He/she will work with leadership |
| |
to help establish individual and team priorities and performance requirements to meet the Company's |
| |
overall business goals and objectives. |
| |
|
| |
Specific Duties: |
| |
Apply knowledge of circuit theory to design power, analog and digital circuits.
Perform circuit analyses, including, for example:
- Loop/gain analyses
- Stress analyses
- MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) analyses
- Sensitivity studies
Design and lay out PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards)
Use computer simulation and modeling tools to assist design
Find and select power components
Participate in vendor selection process for new components
Create documentation
Provide customer support, e.g., help create and present documentation and materials, answer questions |

Background and Experience Qualifications: |
| |
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in electrical engineering.
Minimum of 3 years experience in the electronics industry. (Design for manufacturability experience desirable)
Proven ability to work in a dynamic, high-paced and changing environment. |

Applications Engineers |
| |
Application Engineer's primary responsibilities are to support our "customer" in their efforts to |
| |
use/implement Emeraltech's products into their OEM power designs in a safe and effective manner, to be a member of the team supporting all the sub processes of the Order Acquisition process. e.g., develop application notes that address the mostly commonly asked questions regarding our products and their proper application, assist
Emeraltech's Order Acquisition. team of salespeople and
manufacturing representatives review their customer's applications for validity, develop field intelligence data on our competitors products from customer's applications and to also support, in a secondary role, the Product
Evaluation and Order Fulfillment Processes as appropriate, based on current skills and interest and skills and interest to be developed.
As a member of the team supporting the Order Acquisition Process, he/she will help define and implement process inputs, activities and tasks, outputs and inter-process interfaces. He/she will work with leadership to help establish individual and team priorities and performance requirements to meet the Company's overall business goals and objectives. |

Specific Duties: |
| |
Provide technical support and guidance to our customer's in the proper use of our product in their own applications, whether by t
telephone, E-mail, fax or in person
Accumulate and document those most frequently asked questions regarding the
Emeraltech's product and its use and create detailed application notes.
Accumulate and document data on our competition's product to integrate into a competitive matrix for sales use.
Participate in the FAR/Corrective Action process to insure that our customers always have closure on any product issues.
Interface with Manufacturer's Reps and
Emeraltech's Sales team to assist in any technical presentations which need to be made to their customers and provide them training on any new product developments, features and benefits. |

Background and Experience Qualifications: |
| |
• Undergraduate degree
required, preferably in electrical
engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years
experience in the electronics
industry. (design for
manufacturability experience
desirable)
• Sales experience,
teaching experience, or a successful
track record of interfacing with
customers is desirable.
•
Proficiency in Microsoft
Word, Excel and Lotus Notes
desirable.
